90210 Gets Juicy This Week With A Big Reveal

The father of Kelly Taylor’s 4-year-old son Sammy will finally be revealed on Tuesday’s episode of 90210, PEOPLE has learned. And Brenda Walsh will be the one spilling the beans! Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) will be having a serious conversation about Sammy’s dad when Brenda reveals his name. In another twist, the show’s executive producer Gabe Sachs told PEOPLE that there’s a “possibility” the baby’s father could appear on a future episode. Who it could be?

So far, Kelly has mentioned she knew him in high school and they have history together. The couple went their separate ways, but hooked up four years ago. Since then, he’s been out of the picture. In the series premiere, Kelly took a 3 a.m. phone call from Brandon who is now living in Belize. Their late-night talk was interrupted when Sammy walked in. Perhaps another clue?

Sachs and fellow executive producer Jeff Judah already know who they wanted to be the father, and also discussed it with Jennie. He said Shannen and Jennie were great about the news and had a lot of fun. “The two of them love being in on secrets,” he said. Fans will be in on the secret when it’s revealed Sept. 16, 8 p.m. ET on the CW.

90210 Adds Joe E. Tata (Nat) To The Cast

CW's 90210 spin-off is getting another familiar face: Peach Pit owner Nat! Actor Joe E. Tata tells the Associated Press that he just wrapped up shooting the pilot episode, airing September 2.He says he is still uncertain if he'll return to the show permanently. "The coin's in the air for me," the actor, 71, says. "I guess it comes under the heading of magic test: Let's see if the audience still remembers me."

Tata - who describes Nat as a good guy, always there to help out" - says people still stop him on the street after all these years. "Cops and firefighters say to me, 'I used to watch the show - I mean, my wife did, or girlfriend,'" he said. "But they knew more about the show than I did."

Jennie Garth, who played blonde rich girl Kelly Taylor on the original series, will star in several episodes as a high school guidance counselor. Tori Spelling will reprise her role as Donna Martin in one episode. And Shannen Doherty (a.k.a. "Brenda Walsh") is in talks to star on the show.

Tori Spelling Says She Would Love A Part On New 90210

Tori Spelling, who played Donna Martin on the original Beverly Hills, 90210, is in negotiations with the CW about reprising her role in the network’s upcoming spin-off, which recently cast Jennie Garth as a counselor at West Beverly High.

“Jennie is already on board for the series and we have been in touch about it,” Tori tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I would love to see our characters Kelly and Donna together again and get the chance to work with my friend again.”

The principal characters for the show have been cast for the pilot except Harry Mills, patriarch of the Mills family who moves his family from Kansas to Beverly Hills so he can take care of his alcoholic mother. Since the network’s announcement that a spin-off was in the works, Tori has expressed an interest in the show that originally set the standard for teen drama and featured fan-favorites Kelly, Dylan and Brenda.

“It was always my dad’s dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it,” said Tori, 34, of her father, TV producer Aaron Spelling. “I truly hope for the fans’ sake that it all works out!”

A rep for the CW told PEOPLE, “At this point, there is nothing to report.” Currently, Tori and her husband Dean McDermott are currently shooting her reality show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. The show premieres June 17 on Oxygen.
