Ya estoy aquí con la respuesta. La que lució el vestido asimétrico de Marc Jacobs además de Victoria (y hablando de ella a ver lo que llevará esta noche en la gala de MET), era la jovencita actriz y modelo Koreana Han Ji-Hye en Diciembre durante los 2008 MBC Drama Awards. Las celebrities de Asia no precisamente es mi punto fuerte. La foto la encontré por pura casualidad y esta era la primera vez que no os di pistas. Ahora igual entiendes el por qué. :o)

Here comes the answer to the last question. The one that wore the Asymmetric Heart dress by Marc Jacobs after Victoria (and talking about her I'm curious about what is she going to wear tonight for the MET ball), was Han Ji-Hye - young Korean actress and model - back in December 2008 for the 2008 MBC Drama Awards. Asian celebrities are not precisely my strongest point. I found the picture while looking for another thing. Pure coincidence and this was the first time I didn't help you with any hints. I think now you know why :o)



Coincidentalmente también en Diciembre, en Glamour, Olga Kurylenko llevaba otro vestido de la misma colección. Es algo tan aparentemente frágil... pero tan tremendamente sxy... Creo que acabo de dar con un candidato muy fuerte para convertirse en mi vestido de novia. ¿Qué opinas?

Coincidentally also back in December, in Glamour, Olga Kurylenko wore another dress from the same collection. Is looks so fragile... but so tremendously fierce... Think I found a very strong candidate to become my wedding dress. What do you think?

Next Celebrity Club: Louis Vuitton Tribal Parisienne

Cuando te comenté que estoy preparando este tema, este club aún no tenía su fundadora. El hecho de que en tan poco tiempo ya la tiene solamente confirma que mi sentido no me falló y que la siguiente socia la podemos esperar en breve. Cuando vi la colección de Louis Vuitton para la próxima temporada, la que su creador Marc Jacobs denomina Little Parisienne Princess, lo que me llamó la atención a la primera eran los zapatos y complementos. Y las primeras tres chicas que me imaginé llevando los zapatos eran Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham y Gwen Stefani. Me encantaron las combinaciones de colores, materiales y acabados y ese toque tribu que respiraba toda la colección.

When I told you I was collecting material for this post, this club by then didn't have a founder yet. The fact we have the name already only proves me right and I feel we can expect the next member in no time. When I saw Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 collection that Marc Jacobs called reminiscent of a Little Parisienne Princess, what captured my attention at first were the accessories and shoes. And the first ladies I imagined wearing the shoes were Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and Gwen Stefani. I love the multi colour combinations, the mix of materials and finishes and that tribal chic touch of the whole collection.





A la que no me imaginé era a Madonna. No por una razón en concreto, simplemente no estaba en la lista de las que vinieron a mi mente inmediatamente, espontáneamente, sin pensarlo, de forma automática...

The one I didn't think about was Madonna. For no reason in particular, she simply was not on the top of my mind, on the list of girls that I thought about immediately, spontaneously, like automatically...


Ahora pienso que elegir a la reina de pop como cara de la próxima campaña ha sido todo un acertazo.

Now I think that having chosen the queen of the pop as the face for the Spring 2009 campaign was the greatest choice and I'm looking forward to see all the visuals.



Como forma parte de su contrato, a Madonna no le podemos adjudicar el título de fundadora de este club. Tampoco a Beyoncé pues ahí el punto se lo lleva el estilista.

Since promoting the brand is a part of her job, Madonna can't get the title of the founder of this club. Neither can Beyoncé cause here as usual the point goes to the stylist.


Aquí viene la fundadora: Heidi Klum, que eligió los mismos zapatos que luce Raquel Zimmermann en Vogue US de este mes.

Como algunas de mis queridas lectoras fieles siguen queriendo ver las sandalias "Corazón" de Marc Jacobs que Victoria Beckham lució primero en CFDA Awards y luego en la Party de Allure, las busqué y aquí están. Monísimas.

Since some of my beloved readers keep asking me for the "Heart" sandals by Marc Jacobs worn by Victoria Beckham during the CFDA Awards and also for her Allure Party, I've been trying to find them and here they are. Fabulous.




Las de momento últimas joyitas diseñadas por Marc Jacobs y vistas en los pies de Victoria eran estas plataformas con tacón en forma de lágrima de la colección Primavera 2009 (me sigue chiflando su bolso). No todo el mundo sería capaz de caminar en este tipo de calzado vertiginoso. Victoria nos demuestra que no solamente es fácil andar con este pedazo de plataforma y tacón, sino que es lo más cómodo para ir de compras acompañada por sus peques. Muy valiente. Así me gusta. Con dos... ¡tacones!

The so far latest feet jewels designed by Marc Jacobs and spotted on Victoria were these maxi platform pumps with metallic heels in the form of teardrops from the Spring 2009 collection (I'm still in love with her bag). Not everybody would be able to walk in this kind of vertiginous footwear. Victoria shows us not only is easy to walk in it, but is also the most comfy thing to choose to go shopping with her boys. Brave woman. Love it. With a pair of... heels!

You maybe remember I was asking myself whether this year we're going to see Victoria wearing the famous heel-less shoes by Antonio Berardi. And I'm very sorry I missed this moment...




Cuando vi las botas-leggins en la pasarela, me preguntaba desde lo de siempre, o sea quién va a ser la primera fashion queen atrevida, hasta como será el mantenimiento de esta pieza 2 en 1. Lo primero ya lo sabemos y lo último sigue siendo una incógnita... que no es que tenga demasiada importancia. Igual tampoco es 2 en 1 sino simplemente unas botas muy altas... pero dime, ¿no te gustaría probarlos ahoramismo?

When I saw these "boot-leggins" on the runway, I was asking myself on top of who's going to be the first one in wearing them, also how do you clean this 2 in 1 piece. The first question was answered by Victoria, the second one is still a mistery for me. And maybe they are not 2 in 1, just extremely thigh-high boots... but anyway, wouldn't you like to try them on right now?



Otro maestro en cuya colección Otoño/Invierno 2008 aparecieron estas curiosas prendas-calzado 2 en 1 era Martin Margiela. Mientras los anteriores parecen estar hechos de goma, estos tienen aspecto de piel (aunque con todos los materiales sofisticadísimos que existen hoy en día y se van inventando mientras estamos hablando, una nunca sabe antes de tocar la pieza), una largííísima cremallera y tacones metálicos en forma de clavo.

There was another designer that included these curious footwear-garmet 2 in 1 to his Fall 2008 collection. Martin Margiela. While above seem they are made from PVC, these ones look like leather (even though with all the sophisticated fabrics and materials there are and are being invented as we speak, one never knows until having touched the item), with a looong zip and metallic "nail" heels.



No estoy segura si las botas de Carine Roitfeld son "botas-leggins", pero no encontré mejor imagen para enseñarte el detalle de la cremallera y del tacón. ¿Qué te parece?

Not sure whether Carine Roitfelds' Martin Margiela boots are "boot-leggins", but I didn't find a better image to show you the wonderful detail of both the zip and heels. Don't know how comfortable they are but love them.

Cover Girl: Victoria Beckham & Allure party

Y aquí la tenemos. La protagonista de la party de Allure, Victoria Beckham, acudió disfrazada de regalo. Creo que hay muy pocas mujeres que sabrían llevar este vestido y Victoria nos confirmó que sin duda es una de ellas. Y sin duda la primera. E igual la única. Me encanta. En cuanto tenga más fotos, las compartiré contigo. Mientras tanto el gran regalo para todos los invitados: Victoria Beckham, vestida de Marc Jacobs Resort 2009.

And finally here she comes. The star of the Allure party, Victoria Beckham, attended disguised as a big gift. I think there are very few women that would be able to wear this dress and make it work but Victoria confirmed she is definitely one of them. And definitely the first one. And probably the only one. I love it. As soon as I get more pictures, I'll share them with you. Meanwhile the big gift for all the invited VIPs: Victoria Beckham dressed in Marc Jacobs Resort 2009.

Aunque ya estamos viendo las primeras colecciones de Resort 2009, un rato más seguiremos hablando de las de Primavera 2008. Y hoy en concreto sobre Marc by Marc Jacobs. No es ni la mejor de todas, ni la mejor de Marc, tampoco está repleta de modelitos originales, pero hay cosas.
Even though we're already being presented the first Resort 2009 collections, here in SFQ we'll keep talking about the Spring 2008 for a while more. Today concretely about Marc by Marc Jacobs. Is not the best of all, neither it is Marc's best, is not full of original outfits either, but you can still find interesting stuff.
