Lisa Marie Presley Thanks Her Fans And Talks About Her Projects

Lisa Marie Presley revealed Friday that she can’t wait for her twins to arrive. In a posting on her MySpace page, the singer, 40, writes that she and husband Michael Lockwood, 45, are "beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness" over the twins they will welcome this fall.

The pair will be the first children together for Lisa and Michael, a musician. Lisa has two children, daughter Riley, 19, a model, and son, Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough.

In her first blog entry since May, she expresses her gratitude to fans for well wishes to the couple, who wed in January 2006. "Thank you so much for all of the amazing positive energy and beautiful well wishes," she writes, adding, "We love reading them."

To those anticipating her third CD, she explains that belting it out is not so easy in her current state. "For those who have been asking me," writes Lisa, who released her debut album, To Whom It May Concern, in 2003 and the follow-up, Now What, two years later. "I am not recording at the moment as there isn't much room for breathing and singing right now, most of that area has been taken up and I can't really sing a line without running out of air halfway though."

Assuaging antsy listeners, she adds, "Writing and recording will resume when the little occupants in there have decided to join the outside world." The otherwise euphoric rocker also used a portion of her post to vent about life under constant media scrutiny.

"In the past couple of years, high profile type people seem to have less and less rights," observes the only child of Elvis Presley. "Less privacy and protection. The onslaught of Internet and tabloid sites mostly want only blood now. They have managed to make being a public figure a 24/7 public stoning and execution of various sorts. Some obviously more brutal than others."

Lisa Marie Presley Bares Her Belly Bump In Marie Claire Magazine

Lisa Marie Presley announced she's expecting twins – and now she's baring her baby bump in a new photo spread in the September issue of Marie Claire. The reason for exposing herself in this spread? Lisa says she's firing back against people who, early in her pregnancy, posted unflattering photos of her and just accused her of having a large, unhealthy appetite. "They want me to be him," she tells the magazine, referring to her father, Elvis Presley. "It's like they can't wait."

Lisa claims "the tabloids were going so far as to alter photos. I could never figure out why they went to all that trouble to make me look fat. "There are at least six other famous women pregnant right now who aren't getting picked on," she says in the interview. "But they're all over me. It's like there is a campaign to demean me." Says Lisa: "You know what I think when I see those fat photos? I am not going to let them control me. I just let it all hang out. You want to look at me? Go ahead and look."
















The singer, who is expected to give birth in the fall, has two teenage children, Riley, 19, and Benjamin, 15, with ex Danny Keough. The twins are the first children for Lisa and husband Michael Lockwood. But Lisa remains defiant when it comes to the fat-talk. "I am 5' 3," she says. "If I gain five pounds it shows."

"I am trying to grow another human being," she adds. "Besides, I'm 40! I'm lucky to even be able to do this." Taking stock of her life – and her pregnancy – Lisa tells Marie Claire in the issue out August 12 that she's growing emotionally as well. "We're all going to screw up," Lisa says. "The important thing is, do you learn from it and not do it again? Can you make it better in the future? Can you change? I am in a happy place now. But it took a lot to get here. I wasn't always who I am now."

Don't Go Calling Priscilla Presley Grandma

Lisa Marie Presley's twins won't be calling Priscilla Presley "grandma." "We say 'Nona' — it means 'grandma' in Italian," the Dancing With the Stars alum, 63, tells Entertainment Tonight. "There's just such a connotation with Grandma, and I just liked it better," she adds. "[Lisa Marie's children] say it so sweet: 'Nona.'"

Lisa Marie, 40 — whose twins with husband Michael Lockwood will arrive this fall — has two children from a previous marriage to Danny Keough. Us Weekly first broke the news in its issue last week that Lisa Marie was expecting a double delivery. On Tuesday, Priscilla confirmed it to ET.

"It's her time to celebrate with her husband," Priscilla says. "My daughter is a very family girl. She loves children, and I know that she and Michael have been hoping for this for a long time.”

Priscilla says she is ready to dote on the little ones. "I'm looking at baby stores; I'm looking at all the incredible things that are out there today that I wish that were there during my time," Priscilla tells ET. "It's just fun to have a baby!"

The Twin Hollywood Boom Continues With Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley is expecting twins! A week after Us Weekly broke the news, her mom Priscilla has confirmed it to Entertainment Tonight. "She wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time, you know, and I think women should, because they should be able to announce what they're having and when it's time to make the announcement," Priscilla told ET.

Turns out, Lisa Marie's dad, Elvis, was a twin, and her mother, Priscilla, has younger brothers who are twins. A source tells Us the singer, 40, and her husband, rocker Michael Lockwood, 47, will greet their babies in the fall. A source close to Lisa tells Us, "She's never been so happy!" Lisa Marie — who wed Michael in 2006 — has two children from a previous marriage to Danny Keough.

Lisa Marie Presley Gets An Apology Frpm Newspaper

A newspaper has been forced to apologize to Lisa Marie Presley – who is pregnant – over claims she was pursuing a poor diet like her late father, Elvis. Last month, Britain's Daily Mail published a photo of Lisa Marie, dressed down and without makeup, eating with friends in Los Angeles, and the accompanying article said she was "growing just like her dad."

Lisa Marie's lawyers sued for libel, and on Friday the newspaper printed an apology: "On March 4 we published a photograph of Lisa Marie Presley while she was dining with friends. We suggested she might have an unhealthy appetite similar to her late father. We now accept that the suggestion is untrue and apologize to Ms. Presley for any distress caused."

In fact, Lisa Marie felt forced to reveal her pregnancy secret two days after the article appeared. "I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," she wrote on her MySpace Celebrity blog. "My client is deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news," her legal rep, Simon Smith, said at the time.

Lisa Marie Presley Is Suing British Tabloid

Lisa Marie Presley is suing British newspaper the Daily Mail for libel for a story claiming she was "piling on the pounds" and "has gained weight like her father Elvis." Her attorney Simon Smith said the mom-to-be is "deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news," according to a statement released to Reuters.

In a post on her MySpace page last week, Lisa said she felt forced to announce her pregnancy after British tabloids and Web sites began viciously speculating on her weight gain. “Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of the harassment, and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets,” she wrote. “It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances.”

Lisa Marie Presley Expecting Third Child

Lisa Marie Presley's rep confirmed to People that she is expecting, giving a fall due date for the baby's arrival. The publicist said, The couple are incredibly overjoyed. This is Lisa’s third child and first with husband, Michael Lockwood. Her two children, Danielle Riley, 18, and Benjamin Storm, 15 are with first husband Danny Keough.

However, Lisa Marie is not comfortable with the way the news got out. On her MySpace, she writes,

After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures (the one she is speaking of is above at right) and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.

Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight. Starting with a London publication and then New York and Chicago all writing false defamatory degrading stories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting on weight.

The US tabloids have been calling all day wanting confirmation on all kinds of insane theories. They couldn't wait to find out if my weight gain was because I was just overeating, in which case It would be open season and they can do the old 'following in her father's sad and unfortunate demise' story again or less interesting for them and probably much to their dismay, I could just be pregnant and therefore have a legitimate reason for weight gain at which point they should probably wipe the saliva off of their fangs and put them back in their mouths or they may expose the black little souls that they are.

Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of the harassment and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets. It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances.

How they have handled themselves with this has been nothing short of irresponsible and disgusting. Pardon my seething contemptuous tone but ladies, You KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well.
