Khloe Kardashian Talks About Her Time In Jail

Though her three-hour imprisonment on Friday was the butt of countless jokes, Khloe Kardashian's time in jail in Los Angeles was harrowing, she says. "There was a bomb threat," Khloe told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday. "They put me in solitary confinement and the warden came down to talk to me and said, 'You're the one causing all the problems here. ... There are all these bomb threats, and we think they're because of you.'" She also said she had to watch an "intense" instructional video about "how to be a good inmate" and to avoid fights and getting a staph infection.

The 24-year-old reality star had been sentenced to 30 days for failing to meet the terms of her probation for a DUI. She was released early because of overcrowding and because she posed a threat to the rest of the prison population, she says. Talking about her DUI arrest, Khloe says she turned to the bottle on the anniversary of the death of her father from esophageal cancer four years ago.

"I guess drinking was a way for me to deal with it," she says. "Everybody takes it differently, but I have dealt with it the hardest and it's been really hard for me to understand and to grieve."

After serving time at the Lynwood, Calif., jail for women – the same facility where Paris Hilton served time for an alcohol-related driving offense – she says she'll never drink and drive again. "I'm very happy to have all of this behind me and to have learned a very, very good lesson and to never do it again."

Khloe Kardashian In Jail Less Than 3 Hours

Khloe Kardashian served less than three hours of her 30-day sentence on Friday in a DUI case. Khloe, 24, who appears on E!'s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, was processed into the Lynwood, Calif., jail for women at 10:36 a.m. and released at 1:29 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Kim Kardashian's younger sister was sent there after she surrendered to the Van Nuys courthouse and was booked at 8:52 a.m. The Lynwood jail is the same facility that housed Paris Hilton for most of her term in an alcohol-related driving case. Khloe served her brief time for violating probation following a DUI arrest. Khloewas arrested for DUI in March 2007, and was sentenced to three years probation.

On July 3, she was sentenced to 30 days in jail after failing to complete roadside cleanup duty and enroll in an alcohol education class. "Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved," her rep previously told PEOPLE.

Khloe Kardashian Is Doing Time For A DUI

Kim Kardashian says her younger sister Khloe is "ready and willing" to head to jail for violating probation following a 2007 DUI arrest. It is unclear how long she will be behind bars (she could stay up to 30 days). Kim, 27, says "no matter how long and where," Khloe, 23, just wants to "have this resolved."

Kim writes on her blog: "I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly, and it's never acceptable to drink and drive!" Khloe (who has until Friday to begin serving her sentence) will also have to enroll in an alcohol treatment program — one of the terms of probation she failed to complete — within three weeks of her release. She will remain on probation. Her DUI bust was featured in an episode of the family's E! Network series.
